Home > Dog of the Year – conditions

The Slovak Swiss Mountain Dog Club annually produces a ranking of the most successful dogs owned by a member of the club. Each breed will be evaluated separately for domestic /DOG OF THE YEAR SKŠSP/ and foreign exhibitors /BEST DOG OF A FOREIGN MEMBER OF SKŠSP/ according to the following order.

Conditions of participation:

  1. The competition is announced every calendar year.
  2. It is open to all SKŠSP members.
  3. One member of SKŠSP can enter any number of dogs.
  4. Dogs entered must be owned by a member of the SKŠSP.
  5. Dogs in co-ownership must be in the permanent possession of a member of the SKŠSP.
  6. The owner shall enter in the completed application form up to 10 shows attended, at his/her discretion and with the best possible evaluation.
  7. In order to be entered in the competition, the dog must have attended at least one show held by the club in a given year.An individual may be entered in more than one category if it meets the required conditions.

For each dog entered in the catalogue over four, the first four in order will be credited with the difference between the number of entries in the class and the base number (four).
