SHOW REGULATIONS SKJ

Article 1 – Purpose of the Exhibition Regulations

The Show Regulations of the SKJ follow the wording of the International Show Regulations of the FCI. It regulates the conditions so that dog shows organised throughout the territory of the Slovak Republic have a uniform and dignified character. Further details and possible additions, which must not, however, be in fundamental conflict with these regulations, are regulated by the exhibition regulations. Dog shows represent cynology in front of the public, contribute to its promotion and encourage interest in breeding and keeping individual breeds of dogs.

Article 2 – Definitions

For the purposes of these Regulations, the following terms shall mean:

A, dog: dog or bitch, unless directly stated otherwise,

B, breed: an FCI-recognized breed that has an FCI-recognized standard, a nationally recognized breed not yet internationally recognized, or a newly created breed that is registered by a national organization,

C, exhibitor: usually the owner of the dog, who is objectively responsible for the fulfilment of the obligations according to these Show Regulations and/or liability for damages caused by the entered dog. Special responsibility shall be borne by the person authorized by the owner to show the dog at the show, who may, to the extent appropriate, be the executor of the exhibitor’s rights and duties.

Article 3 – Planning and organisation of exhibitions

1. The show may be organized by a cynological organization that is incorporated into the SKJ and has legal personality (hereinafter referred to as the organizer).
2. The application for the organization of the national, national and international dog show in a specific date must be sent by the cynological organization by 30.11. of the previous year to the SKJ Secretariat. Any changes shall be approved by the SKJ Presidium. Coordination will generally respect the principle of protected dates for international and national exhibitions in the territory of the Republic. The application for international and national shows is governed by the supplementary regulations of the SKJ which approve these dates.
3. Application for club, special and regional shows in a specific date must be sent by the organizer by 30.11. of the previous year to the secretariat of the umbrella cynological organisation. Any changes shall be approved by the competent body of the umbrella organisation. Coordination will generally respect the principle of protected dates of international, national and national exhibitions in the territory of the Republic.
4. The calendar of exhibitions will be published by 31. January. Shows organized in January and February will also be included in the calendar of cynological events of the previous year.
5. The organiser is responsible for the preparation, security, conduct and disposal of the exhibition.
6. Exhibitions are financially provided by the organiser, unless otherwise contractually agreed in advance.
7. The organizer entrusts the actual realization of the exhibition to the exhibition committee.

Article 4 – Types of exhibitions

According to the scope and location of the exhibition, exhibitions are divided into:

• (a) regional
• b) club (CAC, CAJC, BOB, BOS)
• c) Special (CAC, CAJC, BOB, BOS)
• d) special (without CAC, CAJC, BOB, BOS)
• e) national (CAC, CAJC, BOB, BOS)
• f) national (Winner of Slovakia, Winner of Slovakia junior, Winner of Slovakia veteran, CAC, CAJC, BOB, BOS)
• g) international (CAC, CAJC, CACIB – FCI, BOB, BOS)

• a) Regional shows – are open for breeds listed in the rules. Regional shows may include specialty and club shows of breed clubs.

• b) Club shows – are open to breeds, covered by the organizing club. A club may hold one club show per calendar year. Entry of club titles is governed by the rules of the respective club, which must be published in the regulations. If there is a Slovak championship (CAJC, CAC), the show must be open to all dogs of the breed, if they meet the generally valid conditions.

• c) for C and D Special shows – are open to breeds, covered by the organizing club.

The organising organisation may organise:

1. One special show per calendar year with titles CAC/CAJC, Winner of Special Show, BOB, BOS
2. Special shows with titles Winner of Special show, BOB, BOS)

• e) National shows with CAC, CAJC, BOB and BOS – open to all breeds.
• f) National shows with CAC, CAJC, Winner of Slovakia, Winner of Slovakia young, Winner of Slovakia veteran – open for all breeds.
• g) International shows with CAC, CAJC and FCI International Beauty Championship – CACIB, BOB and BOS – open for all breeds. These shows are organized under the auspices of the FCI and according to the FCI International Show Regulations.

Article 5 – Exhibition Classes

• a) A dog may only be entered in one class at one show.
• b)Division of dogs into classes:

1. younger adolescents – from complete vaccination to 6 months,
2. adolescent class – from 6 – 9 months,
3. young class – from 9 – 18 months,
4. medium class – from 15 – 24 months,
5. open class – from 15 months, open to all dogs regardless of the exams and awards obtained,
6. working class – from 15 months of age, it is available at international shows only for breeds listed in the list of breeds that must pass the prescribed examination to obtain the title of International Champion of Beauty; fulfillment of the conditions for the working class at the International Dog Show must be documented by the prescribed international working certificate,
7. champion class – from 15 months of age, is open to dogs that have obtained the title International Champion (C.I.B, C.I.E) or champion of one of the FCI member countries, obtained on the basis of min. 2 waiting lists from one country,
8. veteran class – from 8 years,
9. Honour class – out of competition in this class it is possible to present dogs without qualification, with entering marks and ranking. Open to dogs with a recognized International or National Champion title, National Winner title and Club Winner or Specialty Winner title. The above titles must be earned in adult competition.
10. With the exception of international shows, in some special cases (e.g. for the German Shepherd Dog breed), classes may be listed with other divisions as appropriate to the needs of the breed and the type of show. breeds requiring special coat preparation for participation in shows, or in other justified cases, a “retention class” may be announced within the framework of special and club shows. In this class for the purpose of inclusion in breeding, individuals may be exhibited for example without coat alteration (shaved…) or individuals for other objective reasons not exhibitable in normal classes. in the retention class, the judge shall award a mark in accordance with the breed standard, taking into account the specific conditions of that class. Ranking is entered but it does not enter waiting for the national champion or other official titles as defined in the show rules.
11. In addition to a club or special show, or as a separate event, a breed club may organise a separate unofficial show or competition for a breed or breeds under its management, intended for non-standard dogs or for dogs with specific requirements (e.g. best movement, most beautiful head, etc.).
    At such a show or competition, the judge may make a description of the dog shown without entering a mark, no waiting for the national champion or other official titles are entered in accordance with the SKJ show regulations.
    Entered titles are considered unofficial and are not entered in the SPKP. Such a show or competition may be judged by an exterior judge without delegation by the SKJ Secretariat.
12. For the German Shepherd Dog breed the following classes are announced at special shows organized by SÚCHNO:
    Regional Shows:
    junior class 6-12 months
    young class 12-18 months
    teen class 18-24 months
    adult class from 24 months
    Main Special Exhibition:
    adolescent class I. 6-9 months
    adolescent class II. 9-12 months
    young class 12-18 months
    teen class 18-24 months
    adult class from 24 months
13. The division of breeds, which are judged separately according to colour, size and coat type, determines:
    -For international shows FCI guidelines
    -For other types of exhibitions SKJ documents
    The number of proposed CACIB waiting lists for each breed is determined by the FCI.
    The age of the dog on the day of the show is decisive for inclusion in the class, other conditions must be fulfilled on the day of application. The application form for the show must be completely filled in, it must be accompanied by a photocopy of the pedigree card of the entered individual. In the event that the titles obtained entitling the dog to the champion class or the certificate of passing the prescribed examination for the working class are not properly documented, the organizer is obliged to place the dog in the open class.

Article 6 – Classification

The awarding of the dog is done by entering a mark

• a)Junior and junior class very promising, promising, disqualified, not judged In these classes the order of four dogs awarded with very promising is determined

In the classes of junior and junior the order of the first four individuals with the Very Promising award is determined.

• b) Junior, intermediate, open, working, champion, veteran and honour classes: excellent, very good, good, fair, disqualified, unjudged

In these classes, the order of the four dogs awarded an excellent or very good mark is determined.

• c) The marks awarded by the judges shall comply with the following definitions:

EXCELLENT – This mark can only be awarded to a dog that nearly meets the ideal of the breed standard, is shown in excellent condition, shows a harmonious, balanced temperament and has an excellent attitude. His exceptional characteristics, appropriate to the breed, allow minor imperfections to be overlooked; however, he must have the typical features of his sex.

VERY GOOD – This mark can only be awarded to a dog that has the typical features of its breed, that has balanced proportions and is in correct condition. A few minor errors can be tolerated. This award can only be given to a dog that shows quality.

GOOD – This mark should only be awarded to a dog that has the main features of its breed. The good points should outweigh the faults so that the dog can be considered a good representative of the breed.

INSUFFICIENT – This mark should be awarded to a dog that adequately fits the breed but lacks generally accepted characteristics or one whose physical condition is not sufficient.

DISQUALIFIED – This mark should be awarded to a dog which does not conform to the type required by the breed standard; one which exhibits behaviour clearly not in accordance with its standard or which behaves aggressively; one which exhibits abnormalities of the testes; which has abnormalities of the jaw; which exhibits a coat colour or texture which is not in accordance with the breed standard or which clearly shows signs of albinism. This mark should also be awarded to dogs that so poorly match the individual traits of the breed that their health is compromised. In addition, this mark should be given to dogs that exhibit disqualifying faults as listed in the standard. The reason why the dog has been judged DISQUALIFIED must be stated in the report.

Dogs that cannot be awarded one of the above marks should be released from the assessment ring:

IMPOSSIBLE TO JUDGE – This rating is to be given to any dog that does not move, that limps, that continually jumps on its exhibitor or attempts to escape the ring, making it impossible to judge its stride and movement, or that continually avoids the judge’s inspection and makes it impossible to inspect its teeth, anatomy, body structure, tail or testicles. This rating should also be given if signs of surgery or treatment were observed indicating that the exhibitor intended to deceive the judge. The same applies if the judge has sufficient reason to suspect surgery intended to correct the original condition or feature (e.g. eyelid, ear, tail). The reason why an assessment was entered CANNOT BE ASSESSED must be stated in the assessment.

Article 7 – Titles

• a) Class Winner – May be awarded at regional shows as well as at special or club shows where CAC is not awarded to individuals who have earned an Excellent 1 in the Junior, Intermediate, Open, Working, Champion, Veteran and Honor classes. In the case of breed division by colour, size and coat type, this title may be awarded in each class. In the NO breed, the title in the junior class can be awarded to an individual who has obtained the Very Good 1 award.

• b) Regional Winner – To be entered at a regional show and may be awarded to the best dog and bitch in the breed from the competition of class winners from the intermediate, open, working and champion classes.
• c) Club Winner / Club Junior Winner / Club Veteran Winner – Conditions for the award of club titles and waiting positions must be specified in the show regulations (especially if there is a minimum age of the dog, or if there are conditions for the owner’s membership in the club, etc.). It is awarded for each club and breed once per calendar year.
• d) Winner of the special show – Best dog and bitch of the breed from the competition excellent 1 – CAC from the class medium, open, working, champion.

• e) Winner of Slovakia – Best male and female of individual breeds at national show from competition excellent 1 – CAC from medium, open, working, champion class.
• f) Slovak Junior Winner – The title can be awarded at the national show to the best young dog and bitch of the breed from the junior class who received Exc.1 CAJC.

• g) Slovak Veteran Winner – The title can be awarded at the national show to the best dog and bitch of the breed from the veteran class who received V1.
• h) Best of Breed (BOJ) – The title can be awarded to the best dog or bitch of the breed from the young class from the competition of excellent 1.
• ch) Best of Breed – The title may be awarded to the best dog of the breed from a competition of excellent 1 from the Junior, Intermediate, Open, Working, Champion and Veteran classes.

• i) Best female of the breed – The title can be awarded to the best female of the breed from the competition of excellent 1 from the classes of young, medium, open, working, champion and veteran)
• j)Best of Veteran (BOV) – Dog or bitch from the competition of the winners of the veteran class.

• k) Best of Breed (BOB)

• At shows with CAC entries the following are entered into the competition:
• all dogs who got CAJC, or one dog with title BOJ, best adult dogs (Winner of Slovakia, CACIB, Club Winner, or Winner of Special Show) and excellent 1. from the veteran class, or one BOV individual. If the Best Male and Best Female titles are awarded at the show, the Best of Breed (BOB) selection will be determined from these individuals.
• At shows without CAC entry they enter the competition:
• all dogs that got excellent 1 in junior class, or one dog with title BOJ, best adult dogs with excellent 1. from medium, open, working and champion classes (Club Winner, Specialty Winner) and veterans, or one BOV. If the Best Male and Best Female titles are awarded at the show, the Best of Breed (BOB) selection will be determined from these individuals.

• l) Best of Opposite Sex (BOS) – Winners of the opposite sex to the breed winner enter the competition. If the Best Male and Best Female titles are awarded at the show, the BOS title is awarded to an individual of the opposite sex to the BOB title.
• m) Winner of the FCI Junior Group (JUNIOR BIG) – The competition is entered by individuals who have obtained the title BOJ, if the title is not entered, individuals with the title CAJC are entered. The competition is optional.
• n) FCI Group Winner (BIG) – All breed winners (BOB) of the respective FCI Group enter the competition.
• o) Winner of the Day (BOD) – All winners of the FCI groups judged on that day enter the competition.
• p) Winner of Junior Show (JUNIOR BIS) – Winners of FCI junior groups enter the competition. The competition is optional.
• r) Winner of Show (BIS) – The winners of FCI groups or BOD enter the competition.

All titles can be entered regardless of the number of individuals shown. Possible titles may be awarded

only if the award is in accordance with the exhibition regulations. Titles are not claimable.

Article 8 – Waiting list

• a) Slovak Junior Championship (CAJC)
  The awarding of this waiting list is regulated by the Regulations for the awarding of the title Slovak Junior Champion, which is an appendix to this GC.

• b) Slovak championship waiting list (CAC): the awarding of these waiting lists is governed by the Regulations for the awarding of the respective titles, which are annexed to this IR.
• c) FCI International Championship of Beauty (CACIB): the FCI International Show Regulations, which are annexed to this VP, regulate the awarding of this title.

The relevant provisions concerning the conditions, method and number of CACIBs for each breed shall be set out in the catalogue of international shows.

Waiting is awarded (CAC, CAJC) or proposed (CACIB) by the delegated judge who judges the breed at the show. In case the breed is judged in more than one ring, it must be specified in advance which judge will enter (propose) the waiting list. The exhibitor will receive a document with the date and type of the show, the organizer’s stamp, the catalogue number of the dog, the name of the dog and the judge’s signature. The document must be issued on the official SKJ form. Titles are not claimable.

Article 9 – Competitions

Competitions at shows serve to increase the attractiveness of the shows for the audience, to promote the working and hobby use of breeds, to promote the show business and, last but not least, to evaluate the level of breeding of individual breeds.

As a rule, the following competitions are launched:

1. Best Pair of Dogs – A male and female of the same breed that have been judged at the show and are owned by the same owner, not co-owners. The owner must be indicated on the certificate of origin.
2. Breeding groups – A breeder can enter at least three and max. 5 individuals from own breeding, which come from different connections (min. from two different sires or dams) and have been judged at the show. Dogs do not have to be owned by the breeder.
3. Young Exhibitor (Junior Handling) – This competition is an important preparation for future exhibitors. The performance of the dog is evaluated, therefore its quality is not decisive. A dog that has not been judged at a given show may also compete.

Age distribution: 1st category 9 – 13 years 2nd category 14 – 17 years

The age of the exhibitor – one day before the show – is decisive for inclusion in the individual category. The competition is governed by the Junior Handling Regulations.

• The competition for the best sire – is announced only at club and special shows. A sire with at least 5 offspring that have been judged at the show enters this competition. The type and quality of rearing shall be assessed. The sire does not have to be judged in competition at the show. More detailed conditions of participation or other competitions must be specified in the exhibition regulations. It is advisable to include an overview of all promotional side events in the exhibition’s programme.

Article 10 – Arbitrator

1. Judges who are listed in the list of judges of SKJ member countries can judge at shows.
   FCI and FCI contractors and are qualified to judge the breeds concerned.
2. Judges who are listed in the list of international judges of FCI member countries and FCI contractual partners may judge at international shows. In Slovakia, judges who are listed in the SKJ National Judges List may also judge.
3. A foreign judge of FCI member countries and FCI contractual partners may judge in Slovakia only with the consent of his/her parent organization, which will be requested by the JCI. Judges from FCI Contracting Organizations can judge in Slovakia after submitting a questionnaire (confirmation) that they will judge according to the FCI Regulations (see FCI Regulations). International and national regulations regulate the method of obtaining qualifications, extending qualifications, and maintaining lists of referees.
4. Only the judge who has been delegated to the show may judge at the show and only for those breeds for which he is qualified.
5. Delegation to shows is made at the request of the organizer of the SKJ. Waiters and hospitalists are delegated in the same way. SKJ has the right to arbitrate, resp. not to delegate a waiting person or a hospitator to the exhibition, resp. suspend the delegation without giving any reason.
6. One of the delegated referees shall be appointed by the delegating organisation to act as Chief Referee. In case of no-show, this will be determined at the judges’ meeting by agreement. Duties of the Chief Referee:
   He shall chair the meeting of arbitrators,
   • He is the chairman of the committee that decides on protests,He assigns the referee in waiting to the individual referees,

If the situation so requires, it shall report on the progress of the exhibition to the delegating authority.

7. The arbitrator shall have the right to:

• Require the organiser to meet the appropriate conditions for judging the dogs,
  • To call attention to improper conduct of exhibitors, promoters or helpers under the provisions of these rules and regulations and to refuse to judge dogs in gross violation thereof,
  • In case of improper conduct of exhibitors, he may suspend judging, write a report on the form which is the last page of the judge’s book, giving the exhibitor’s catalogue number and the whole course of the exhibitor’s improper conduct. The record shall be signed by the circle leader and the recorder, or other witnesses. The Judge shall inform the Show Director of the incident immediately after the event.
  • Do not judge an individual who entered the ring late.
  • The judge may judge an individual if he/she is absent during the judging in the class where he/she has been entered, until the judging in the show ring is completed (in this case, the ranking, title, waiting list must not be entered. The judge’s report and the judge’s book must be marked “Judged out of competition”.)
  • For payment of compensation related to the performance of their duties in accordance with FCI regulations.

8. The referee has the duty to:

• Refuse to judge at shows that are hosted by an organization that is not under the umbrella of a member

by the FCI,

• Confirm in writing to the organiser acceptance of the delegation. By accepting the delegation, the judge agrees to the conditions stated by the organizer or delegating authority (breeds to be judged, expected number of individuals, including the amount of remuneration and compensation, accommodation, etc.)
• Attend the referees’ meeting,
• To judge the exhibited individuals impartially in accordance with the given FCI standard,
• Issue a written appraisal and enter show awards. In each class, determine the ranking of four individuals and enter the awards for the remaining individuals without specifying the ranking.
• Do not judge an individual that you have owned or co-owned in the last six months prior to the show. The same applies to dogs belonging to his closest relatives or partners.
• The referee shall be responsible for the work of the referee in charge.
• Fill in the judge’s book and hand it to the show committee for checking.
• Do not judge an out of control dog and disqualify an aggressive individual.

9. The conduct of the judge shall be correct both when judging in and out of the ring. It follows that the arbitrator may not:

• Browse the catalogue before or during the assessment.
• Enter or show a dog in a show where he acts as a judge.
• To attend the show at which he judges, accompanied by the exhibitors whose dogs he is to judge at that event.
• Under no circumstances may he meet the exhibitors who will be showing their dogs on the day of the show or stay with them prior to the show.
• He must behave fairly in the ring and judge all dogs without discrimination. He must always act courteously.
• He shall not smoke or consume alcoholic beverages while judging in the ring.
• They must not use a mobile phone during the assessment.
• He must not apply for an invitation to be assessed in any case.
• A referee shall not criticize the work of another referee. These provisions also apply in the context of its exercise of the waiting period.

A partner, any member of the immediate family, or any person living in the same household as the judge may enter or exhibit any dog of any breed not being judged by that judge on that day at the show. Dogs shown by a judge at a show where he is not a judge must either be from his own breeding, or be owned by his owner or co-owner, or belong to a partner or close relative.

Article 11 – Assessment

1. Only the judge is entitled to decide on the awarding of the show award, ranking and title, who enters them according to the quality of the dogs shown and it is not his duty to check whether the dogs shown meet the conditions for entry into the relevant class (age, tests, entries in studbooks, etc.).
2. One judge judges each ring. For space reasons, they can use one circle in a row

two or more arbitrators.

• Only the judge, ring leader, recorder, or the judge may be in the ring next to the exhibitors when judging. Interpreter. With the permission of the Chief Referee, a hospitaller (1) may also be assigned to the ring. The referee may agree with the organiser on his own recorder. A representative of the organizer or the chief judge may enter the ring during the judging if they are responsible for tasks related to the successful conduct of the show. Entry of other persons into the circle (photographers, club officials, etc.) is allowed only after the judging is completed and the order is determined.
• When judging, the judge shall follow the FCI standard in its full wording. For breeds not yet recognized by the FCI and for breeds newly emerging according to a standard approved by the FCI member country sponsoring them.
• The judge is obliged to determine the order of the first four individuals in each class (awarded with the mark very promising, excellent or very good).
• As a proof of the assessment, the assessment letter must be signed by the judge who assessed the dog. The entry in the certificate of origin or in its appendix may be made by the show committee in accordance with the regulations (however, at least the date, place and type of show, class, award, ranking, titles and name of the judge must always be stated).
• It is desirable for the judge to evaluate the class, justify the awards given and the order established.

Article 12 – Conditions of Admission to the Exhibition

1. Dogs owned by citizens of the Slovak Republic who have their permanent residence in the Slovak Republic must be registered in the studbook of the Slovak Kennel Club or in another studbook recognized by the FCI.
2. The dog and the exhibitor must comply with the other conditions stated in the Regulations (see in particular the veterinary conditions of Article 17 of this GS).

Article 13 – Excluded from participation in the exhibition

1. Dogs not listed in the catalogue unless this is due to the fault of the organiser.
2. Dogs ill, suspected of being ill, after an accident, blind dogs, bitches in the second half of pregnancy and lactating bitches.
3. Dangerous dogs – aggressive towards people and dogs.
4. Dogs owned by persons whose right to exhibit has been revoked.

Article 14 – Duties of the Organiser (Exhibition Committee)

1. Apply in time for the show to be included in the calendar of cynological events.
2. Issue a proposition with all important information necessary for participation in the show, including the facts that exclude dogs from participation in the show. It must also be stated that the exhibitor agrees to the collection and processing of personal data, the publication of his name and address in the catalogue. The proposal of judges for each breed or group of breeds must be stated in the regulations of club, special, national and international shows.
3. Reject and return entries and deposits received after the exhibition closing date and after the catalogue has been compiled
4. Confirm receipt of applications.
5. To compile and publish an exhibition catalogue, to which it is not permitted to add any additions (e.g. in the form of inserted sheets), except for Regional Exhibitions, where additions are permitted.
6. Ensure that the delegating authority delegates the proposed referees and, in the case of foreign referees, that the parent organisations’ consent is sought.
7. Provide trained staff to the rings and show office. (h) Provide the necessary equipment and marking of circles. In doing so, care must be taken to ensure that the circles are of sufficient size, particularly with regard to the special requirements for judging, a suitable surface, and any other necessary equipment (e.g. scales, a table with a judging mat, signal guns, etc.).
8. Provide pre-populated report cards, and documents for awarding degrees and waitlists.
9. Provide visible signage for dogs on display.

• To provide organizational, veterinary and health services for the duration of the exhibition.
• Pay judges and other staff financial remuneration and compensation in a predetermined amount.
• The organizer is obliged to respect all veterinary regulations set by the State Veterinary Administration (they must be mentioned in the event’s entry form) and by the local authorities that allow the event to take place on their territory. m) In the event that the exhibition is not held for objective reasons, part of the exhibition fees will be used to cover the costs associated with the preparation of the exhibition and the remainder will be refunded to the exhibitors.

Article 15 – Exhibitor’s rights and obligations

The exhibitor has the right to:

1. to have his dog listed in the show catalogue, if he has applied by the deadline, been accepted and paid the show fee on time,
2. for the assessment of the registered dog, except in the cases according to Art. 5 last para. of these Exhibition Regulations.
3. receive the original show report with a description of the dog if the judge has judged up to 80 dogs.
4. it is left to the exhibitor to enter the show award in the pedigree or performance booklet; however, the entry of the results is to be made only during the show, exceptionally on the basis of a show report submitted by the staff of the relevant studbook.
5. protest against formal non-compliance with this IR or the Regulations.

The exhibitor has the following obligations:

1. send a fully completed application form on time and enclose the required documents.
2. pay the exhibition fee at the same time as sending the entry form in the correct amount,
3. when presenting at the exhibition, to present the “Return Card”,
4. present proof of origin as instructed by the organiser,
5. visibly mark themselves with the assigned catalogue number,
6. get into the show ring with the dog on time and present the dog in such a way that it can be judged as best as possible by the judge.
7. heed the referee’s instructions
8. do not let your dog run loose in the show area
9. not to disturb the course of the exhibition by their behaviour and inappropriate actions,
10. exhibitor who does not attend the exhibition for any reason is not entitled to a refund of the exhibition fee.

Forbidden is:

1. treat the dog with any substance that alters the texture, colour or form of the coat, skin or muzzle
2. tying up dogs on “grooming” tables (called “gallows”) outside the time when the dogs are being groomed is strictly forbidden.
3. Showing of dogs owned by persons working directly in the ring in which the breed they own is judged (recorder, ring leader, interpreter, waiting person, etc.).
4. any verbal abuse of the referee, in particular insulting, humiliating, attacking the dignity and honour of the referee, or threatening the referee

Article 16 – Protest

1. Protest against the judge’s decision (awards, ranking and titles) is not admissible.
2. Protest on formal grounds (violation of the exhibition regulations or the regulations) is admissible. The protest must be made in writing and accompanied by a deposit of the amount specified in the regulations.
3. The protest must be lodged during the exhibition.
4. The protest shall be heard by a committee consisting of the Chief Judge, the Show Director and the Deputy Judges in the presence of the judge to whom the protest relates. A written record must be made of the discussion and the outcome.
5. Anyone can lodge a protest during the exhibition.
6. A protest lodged after the end of the show (after all judging in all circles has been completed) will not be accepted.

Article 17 – Liability

1. The organizer and the show committee are not responsible for any illness of the dogs, death or loss of the dog and are not responsible for any damage caused to the dog during the show.
2. The exhibitor, usually the owner of the dog, is responsible for the damage caused by the dog and is objectively responsible for the fulfilment of the obligations under these show regulations and/or for the damage caused by the entered dog. Special responsibility rests with the person authorized by the owner to show the dog at the show.

Article 18 – Veterinary rules

1. The organizer, exhibitors and visitors are obliged to comply with the legal regulations (in particular the regulations in the field of veterinary care and protection of animals against cruelty), the veterinary conditions set by the veterinary care authority and the exhibition regulations, or the obligations imposed by the State Veterinary Administration, issued in accordance with the law in the exercise of supervision over the event.
2. The organizer is entitled to expel from the exhibition area a person who grossly or repeatedly violates the obligations under point a).
3. These regulations apply to dogs exhibited and also to dogs of visitors or participants in competitions and accompanying events.

Article 19 – Delegation of arbitrators

a) Proposal of judges for shows:
Judges who are to judge at an international, national, state, specialty or club show must be listed in the show rules. The organizer of the show is obliged to send a preliminary delegation to the judge. The final decision in the compilation of the regulations and the delegation of judges belongs to the organizer of the show. Only the referee who has confirmed the provisional delegation may be listed in the rules.
The proposal of judges for shows is carried out by:

regional exhibitions – organizer,

international, national and national exhibitions – organizer,

b) Financial compensation for judges at all types of shows is regulated by the FCI rules or in advance according to the agreement of the judge with the organizer.

c) Financial conditions for the participation of foreign judges at the IGP and NVP

in accordance with FCI regulations

d) Conditions for participation of judges from Slovakia at the IGP and NVP

a judge who has confirmed his participation in the show may excuse himself from the show only for serious reasons

e) Conditions for participation of foreign judges at the IGP and NVP

all negotiations related to the invitation of the judge are conducted by the show organizer. He will request the participation of a foreign judge through the SKJ according to the FCI regulations.

(f) Method of delegation :

The delegation of assessors shall be carried out by:

• for all shows (special, club, regional, national, national, international) SKJ secretariat,
  • consent with judging of foreign judges for all types of shows is provided by SKJ.

Article 20 – Penalties and sanctions

1. Violation of these GTC, other binding regulations and the show regulations may result in disciplinary action.
2. In case of violation of this T&C, the organizer may submit a proposal to the SKJ Secretariat to cancel the award and withdraw the awarded titles. SKJ may, based on its own findings of violations of these Show Rules, cancel the award and withdraw the titles awarded.
3. For violation of the prohibition under Art. 14 lit. g) of these Show Rules (disparaging the judge, threatening), exhibitors, including persons authorized to show the dog, may be prohibited from attending dog shows in person and from showing the dog on their property, as well as from showing the dog through an authorized person. This prohibition may be imposed for a definite or indefinite period.
4. For physical assault on a judge, the exhibitor, including those responsible for showing the dog, may be
   Prohibited from personally attending dog shows and exhibiting a dog on their property, as well as its
   issuance through an authorised person. This prohibition may be imposed for a definite or indefinite period.
5. All participants in the dog show, including spectators, who by their behaviour cause offence and disturb the smooth and dignified conduct of the dog show may be banned from participating in dog shows for a definite or indefinite period of time.
